The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation is dedicated toward improving the quality of life of those affected by Pulmonary Fibrosis. Our goal is to find a cure for this disorder. Therefore we fund both basic and applied research in Pulmonary Fibrosis. Our areas of interest are pathogenesis, genetics, novel therapies and epidemiological investigation. We have research partnerships with many universities in the United States, Mexico and Europe and organizations such as the American Lung Association, the American Thoracic Society, the American College of Chest Physicians and the Chest Foundation.

The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation is incorporated in the state of Colorado, where our original chapter is located. We are currently headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, where we are registered with the Charitable Foundations Division of the Illinois Attorney General's Office. The Internal Revenue Service has approved the foundation for tax-exempt status under IRS code 501(c)3.
