About Us:

The Department of Neurology Department of Clinical Neurological Sciences at the London Health Sciences Centre boasts an innovative program that fosters collaboration with neurologists and neurosurgeons. This collaboration results in a higher level of care and treatment for complex neurological diseases. Currently, the Department of Neurology has 26 faculty members including 17 neurologists and 9 neurosurgeons. In addition, the Department Division of Neurology collaborates closely with Neuroradiology, Neuro-Oncology, Neuro-Pathology, and Neuro-Pediatrics. This collaboration fosters innovative research, rigorous teaching methods, and greater treatment options.

The Department of Neurology Clinical Neurological Sciences at LHSC sets national and international standards in stroke prevention, epilepsy surgery, brain aneurysm and brain tumor treatment, and degenerative and neuromuscular disease research and treatment. The Department emphasizes teaching and clinical and neuroscience research. Further, the Department of Neurology offers Fellowship training in Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia, EMG/Neuromuscular, EEG/Epilepsy, Neuro-Oncology, Stroke, Neurophysiology and Movement Disorders.

Our program is one of the few centers in Ontario that offers treatment for patients with complex epilepsy and care management for patients with complex Parkinson's disease, ALS, Multiple Sclerosis and neuromuscular disease. Further, the neuroscience program at LHSC is considered one of the finest in Canada.
