About UCLA

The U C L A TeamUCLA is a member of the Bone Marrow Failure Disease Consortium funded by the National Institutes of Health. Our goal is to research the causes of bone marrow failure diseases and to develop new treatments for these disorders. Bone marrow failure syndromes include aplastic anemia, myelodysplastic syndrome, paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria, large granular lymphocytic leukemia and other related disorders.

Dr. Ron Paquette and his team will provide up to date information about the bone marrow failure diseases and their management. We can offer standard therapies for these disorders, and when standard treatments does not exist, we may be able to offer enrollment in clinical trials. We will also be recruiting patients to participate in a survey studying the causes and natural history of bone marrow failure syndromes.

Dr. Paquette is also the Associate Director of the Hematologic Malignancies Program Area of the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center and an attending physician on the Bone Marrow Transplant Service.
