What is the Salivary Gland Carcinomas Consortium (SGCC)?
The Salivary Gland Carcinomas Consortium (SGCC) is an integrated group of academic medical centers, patient support organizations, and clinical research resources dedicated to conducting research on different forms of salivary gland carcinoma and improving the care of patients with salivary gland carcinoma. Funded by the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR), the SGCC is part of the Rare Diseases Clinical Research Network. The operations of the SGCC are directed from The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and three satellite sites including: Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, the University of Pittsburgh, and the University of California- San Francisco.
